WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
More than 1 in 4 people released from North Carolina prisons in 2024 were released into homelessness. Without stable housing, employment, support, and access to resources, many individuals face significant barriers to successful reentry.
RCS exists to help bridge that gap by connecting individuals and families to the support, opportunities, and community resources needed to build stability and move forward successfully.
ABOUT US
We believe people are more than their past circumstances and deserve the opportunity to move forward with dignity, purpose, and hope.
Through the GRIT Program (Growth, Responsibility, Integrity & Transition), participants develop workforce readiness, personal accountability, decision-making skills, and the confidence needed to build stronger futures.
The individuals pictured here represent more than program graduates. They represent what is possible when people are given opportunity, support, and a chance to succeed. Each certificate reflects a commitment to growth, responsibility, and positive change.
At RCS, we help individuals overcome barriers, strengthen stability, and create pathways toward long-term success
OUR VISION
Our vision is to become a trusted community hub that connects individuals to the resources, services, and opportunities needed to overcome barriers, achieve stability, and build successful futures.
Our Story
Reentry & Community Solutions (RCS) was created from personal experience and from witnessing firsthand how difficult life transitions impact not only individuals, but entire families.
When someone close to me returned home after incarceration, my family needed information, guidance, and resources, but often did not know where to turn for help. Beyond an attorney, we were not sure who to call, what services were available, or how to navigate the challenges ahead.
As I became more involved in the community, I realized our experience was not unique. Individuals returning from incarceration, families supporting loved ones, people experiencing homelessness, and young adults facing difficult life circumstances often struggle to find the support and resources they need.
That realization became the foundation of RCS.
We believe people are more than their circumstances and deserve the opportunity to move forward with dignity, stability, and purpose. Through reentry support, housing navigation, workforce development, crisis intervention, prevention-focused education, and community partnerships, RCS helps individuals and families overcome barriers and build stronger futures.
At its core, RCS exists to ensure that no one has to navigate life's toughest transitions alone.
